it is in the darkest of nights that my faith is renewed
my spirit invigorated, augmented by the notion that our virtues will endure
that the future we seek is not so far as we may believe in this moment
I understand more than ever the change that is brought about by choosing to be an instrument of that very change each day
that we lift ourselves up by giving those around us their due dignity
that, in order to receive in measure, we must give of ourselves immeasurably
that this world is what we choose to make it, and never has it been that good failed in its conquest over evil
I am certain the sun shall rise in the morning, and, by dusk,
we may find solace knowing that, although tomorrow may not be promised,
the promise of tomorrow rests in our desire to ensure that we have lived today with good in our hearts
